Emossed-dry and wet!!

Good Evening Guys!

Here is another project which I have pulled out just in time for the ICR blog hop. In this card I have used both dry as well as wet embossing.

Here is the card-

To make this card:

●I took a black cardstock and stamped Mudra's Damask stamp multiple times using Versacolor white ink. Heat embossed it.
●Then I took a paper doily and distressed it with vintage DI. Next applied homemade texture paste on card corner as well as on the doily through script stencil.
●Then attached the doily on cardstock and arranged a gauze over it. Added a Ribbon, thread and two hand made flowers. The centre of the flowers are dried seeds of heena plant painted gold.
●The central black strip is embossed using Sizzix embossing folder and rolling pin(as I don't have an embossing machine yet). To give it similar look as heat embossed one, I applied some gesso on the elevated part.
●Added the sentiment and a embossed butterfly.
●Finally mounted the black cardstock on white card distressed vintage.

Memories Layout!!

Good evening Ladies!

Today I am gonna share a layout. The theme at More Than Words Challenge this month is " Traditions". So I created my Layout based on this theme. This F.R.I.E.N.D.S. layout is dedicated to all my college friends. It was sort of a tradition that all of us used to watch this excellent series while having dinner. Over the span of  five years we watched it numerous times and can still watch more. The only problem is we have graduated  and no longer together :(. Though we did manage to have a reunion recently :). So I would like to dedicate this layout to all those fond memories.

Here is the layout:

Mixed media layout

To make this layout-
●I took an old thick sheet,  covered it with black gesso and applied texture paste through stencils. Then created the background using pink and purple sprays. Used black spray for dripping effect. Sprayed some white paint, distressed the edges with knife and tore at a few palces.
●Next I collected the embellishments and arranged them on the sheet. The picture is a printout. Flowers are handmade. The beautiful peacock feather die-cut is RAK from Preety Dutt. The sticks around the pic are actually from sugarcane painted black and then dry brushed gold.
●Finally added the whole thing to PP fromPapericious Damask Set distressed vintage. The PP used around the pic is from Papericious Vintage collection.

Snow Globe!!

Good Morning Ladies!

After my exams, here I am back again to share some more creativity. Hope you are enjoying the warmth of your blankets and the refreshing effect of the morning tea. First of all I would like to welcome Lilian YF for joining me.

This post is about a card that has been inspired by the lovely snow globes with a couple in the centre. I have tried my best to make this card look exactly the same.

Here it is..
Snow Globe Card

To make this card:
  • First I made a layout of a circular globe with base on a white cardstock and cut it out on form of a card.
  • Then i took a black circular cardstock and sponged it with blue, white and red acrylics till desired result was achieved. Sprinkled white paint with brush. This is my first galaxy which I have been dying to create since I started blogging. Hope you all like it.
  • Next I pasted a beautiful light green couple die-cut( a RAK from Preety Dutt). And created a golden frame for the shaker. For the shaker elements I have used silver sequins and some Ajinomoto.( Love the sound it produces when shaken). Then I made the shaker using foam tape.
  • For the base I colored it using watercolor pencil and brown sketch pen and attached a sentiment distressed vintage saying "Let it Snow".
  • And Tada!! The snow globe is ready.

Tent Card!

Good afternoon Ladies!

Before I go back to hibernation..I am here with the last card of this month..

This is a tent card in which I have added quilling elements..The challenge at IQC this month is plants..So I wanted to create a hanging pot with flowers(Inspired by this plant from brother's garden)..

Luckily I came across this beautiful post. I really loved the idea.

Here is my Tent card..

Quilled pot

Tent Card-Tag on the Back in a vellum pouch
1.To make this card first I made the pot with quilled roses and some fringe flowers. This is my first attempt at 3D quilling. I don't have proper quilling tools. So all my quilling projects till date have been constructed using a toothpick. I was not able to get the courage to make roses using toothpick. But this time I tried and I succeeded. Really happy as paper roses always interested me.
2.Then I took a beautiful geometric pattern paper from Itsy-Bitsy and cut out a circular panel. Attached a white card stock to pattern paper and made tent portion( Here is a beautiful tutorial).
3. For the inside I took a white card stock and painted it pink. Then to create the texture used a polythene. Then stuck this textured piece on the inner panel.
4. Attached strings to the pot and stuck it to circular panel with silicone glue. Made a boundary using black card stock and decorated it with more tiny flowers, flat base pearls and a cute denim butterfly (a gift from itsy-bitsy).
5.Added a ribbon (a RAK from Ash) and a sentiment "Lets celebrate you". Finally used the cut out circular panel as matching tag and tied it with another white circular card stock for a personal message. For the tag I added a pouch made of vellum to the back.

Geometry!

Hello ladies!!

Today I am here to share one more card..

And I would love to thank Rahmat for joining us.

The theme this month at Lulupu is geometric. So I went geometric with thread. This is my first experience with distress ink..

To make the card I first folded a cardstock in such a manner that the front panel is a bit shorter than the inside. Then created ombre shade with distress ink. Then sprayed some water through script stencil. Made tiny cute feathers. Cut out a scalloped circle and colored the outer part black to give it the look of rim of dreamcatcher.
Tied twine around the circle and attached three twine to th circle. Inserted beads in them and added the feathers using glue. On the visible part of back page drew black strips of variable thickness using black pen. Finally added the sentiment from Jane's Doodles Daffodil stampset.

Here is the card...
